Blues FC Partners with William Jessup University to Develop Needed All Weather Soccer Complex in Placer County
Rocklin, Calif., December 9, 2020 – Local not-for-profit youth soccer club Blues FC and William Jessup University have formally announced a new 15-year partnership.
The partnership, made official by Blues FC Board President Dominick DeRosa and Jessup President John Jackson and Athletic Director Lance Von Vogt, will begin with the construction of a new soccer complex that will include all-weather turf fields on Jessup’s Rocklin campus. Construction is set to begin within the coming months.
“For years, there has been a need for all weather field space in Placer County,” DeRosa says. “We are proud to be able to partner with William Jessup to be the first youth soccer club to meet this need its players. This complex will benefit both our nearly 500 youth players as well as Jessup’s student athletes.”
The agreement will encompass a value of more than $2 million for construction costs and overall upkeep of the soccer facility.
The Blues FC Board has been actively seeking a permanent all-weather field solution for its membership for several years.
